Sure, but it runs on two completely different computers: a very old compaq 
running debian, and a hp laptop... It was built on the debian compaq.

Sure. I don't think I really did that though. Infact I used the config 
from.22 debian kernels.

Yes, but there is already a script to patch speakup I believe and you have 
to know how to compile a kernel... The script can't answer the questions 
for you...
