Actually, that procedure worked for me and I've done it several times
when it got all hung up while doing something with my local IMAP
server.  But now I have another question.  Is there any sensible way
to navigate all those time zone entries? When I go through the startup
wizard, I finally come to the time zone selection.  First of all, I
wonder why Evolution doesn't just use the built-in defaults from the
system timezone facilities.  But never the less, I get this huge list
of cities in seemingly no logical order at all.  It takes me forever
to scroll down line by line to find a city approprite for me (Phoenix
Arizona).  Is there any way to reconfigure this list or speed through
it? It didn't appear that typing in partial names would scrool the
list for me either.  I would think it would at least be in alpha order
or time zone order as you go around the globe.  All I know now is what
I see is this willy-nilly unordered list of probable locations.

At least I can use evolution with gmail.  I guess I'll never get it
working with my local IMAP because it always gets hung and then Orca
doesn't work until I kill evolution.
