Hi,
This is the main thing i can't understand these days.
There are many problems in gnomespeech and some in speechd.
But the most important feature like softmixing or selecting special
soundcard for output does work very well in speech-dispatcher.
But speechd is not well supported by orca.
Gnomespeech depends on the primary soundoutput of the used synth so it
is not very usable with your setup.
have a look to speech-dispatcher.
