[orca-list] Accessing administration tools in Ubuntu 8.04.

Hello all,

I'm so far impressed with Orca's snappyness out of the box in Ubuntu 8.04.
It's also a welcome improvement to no longer have to hunting for firefox
from the nightly build on a new installation.

However, from my brief usage of Ubuntu 8.04, I'm finding that Orca isn't
behaving very well when trying to run it as root.

In the installation, it didn't speak at all. I specified the usual
command: orca --no-setup --disable main-window but got no speech. running
ubiquity then obviously wasn't great as I had no screen reader.

Anyway, with a bit of luck i got someone to read the screen during te
installation so it's up and running now.

My issue is that while trying to configure something like the software
sources, Orca still will not speak the window.

I'll update Orca and Ubuntu in a short while however before I do that I
thought it would be beneficial to note down my findings here.

I know that this is still a beta so it's very likely this will be fixed in
the released version.

Oh wow. just looked at the updates! There are a lot!

Thanks
