[orca-list] synaptic and orca

Is any one having trouble with synaptic? When ever I try to use it to
get or install anything, Orca chokes.
Now, again, this might be my clunky machine, 450mhz, and it wouldn't
hurt my feelings if you told me to get a 21st century computer, but
the thing pretty much crashes me and I can't do anything else. I think
cpu peaks and we're done.
I've gotten everything with apt-get and that works just fine.
Any others having this problem?
