Hello everyone,
I sent this earlier, but it doesn't seem it got through.
I'm trying to get Ubuntu 7.04 and Orca up and running. It will read
terminal prompts, but not the Gnome environment. When it starts, I hear
"Welcome to Orca. Switching to focus tracking mode," and then nothing.
If I open a terminal session, Orca will read that, but it won't read
anything as soon as I switch back to the Gnome environment.
I can pull up the prefferences window with insert+space, but it won't
speak. Everything looks ok in there, at least as far as speech goes.
What am I doing wrong? This has happened to my friend and now me, so we
must be missing a step somewhere.
Thanks,
Tim
