Re: [orca-list] broken autogen.sh with rev 2559

Hi, Yes Joanie, I got exactly what you obtained, but i didn't notice it
until i piped the 36k log out to file.
The error was close to the head of the file, so its strange that it
continued on for so long without terminating.

Thanks Jon! The autogen should also spit out a warning/error if
automake1.9 cannot be found. Did you not get that warning/error?

I'm in the midst of doing a clean Feisty install. I do get the error:

***Error***: You must have automake >= 1.9 installed
to build orca. Download the appropriate package for
from your distribution or get the source tarball at
  http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/automake/automake-1.9.tar.gz

But autogen.sh keeps chugging away and finally gives up with:

shift: 364: can't shift that many

You have to go looking for where things went wrong.
