indeed, checking the version of orca I have it tells me 2.19.13, so it's the version I downloaded! however I am sure I hear some errors along the way, may be the syntax ./configure --prefix=/usr >configure.txt is wrong and I should literary type: "./configure --prefix=/usr 2>&1"

Hello Mohammed,
your sources file seems to be OK, you can uncomment the lines containing
the word "bakcports". Read the discription lines before that two lines.
What's wrong with your configure output? I can't see anything, but more
qualified users should check it too.
After all your installation type:
orca -v
in a text terminal. What's the result, and which version did you
originally have?
