(Answering your issues one at a time and re-writing the subject lines to
help others that might look through the archives in the future).
2. Not sure if this is a bug or problem, but certainly an issue. I
can not tell when the caps lock is on or off. Orca needs to announce
this, or speak with a higher pitch if it was accidentally hit.
We're working on a way to do this, but we may need to elaborate on our
algorithm for determining if locking keys are locked. As an
alternative, Dave Mielke has created an application called "locktones,"
which I think might be a much better solution because it covers both the
graphical desktop and character cell consoles:
