This patchset is to add vlan support for NetworkManager,
PHYSDEV=eth9
3 support both static IP configuration and DHCP for vlan device
Is IPv6 supported as well? Is there any reason the VLAN support needs
to be aware of IP/IPv6 configuration, or is it already Layer 3 agnostic?
Yes, it support IPv6, too.
In fact, these patches do not handle IPv4/IPv6 configuration, they just
make use of existing NetworkManager functions to handle them.
A VLAN device is treated as a NMDeviceEthernet.
TODO
1 accept MAC address or NM connection UUID as PHYSDEV
Will PHYSDEV be assumed from the DEVICE=eth9.93 format as it is in
current initscripts?
Sorry, I miss this. Thanks for pointing it out, will correct it soon.
thanks
