NM 0.6.5 and dhcp behavior

Hello,

What is NetworkManager’s behavior if it can’t get a IP address from the DHCP server. I see it seems to assign an auto IP 169….. Will keep talking to the DHCP server and try to get an IP?

If it matters, I am on Fedora 7.
