Foreign characters in ESSD?

I think there is a NM bug. At the hotel in germany, the ESSID of the
network was "Hotel_Kübler". The u with umlaut may not display correctly.
The access point showed up in 'iwlist eth1 scan' but not in the NM drop
down list.

Typing in the manual connection box, didn't work either but that maybe
because of access control hardware or other problems in the wireless API.
