Well, it is different from current developement version. But as stated in the bug you have linked to, this should be much different in the next version, so it does not matter anyway. I actually found I am facing a completely opposite issue to yours: my password is not stored in the keyring and nm tries to look it up there, so I need to apply the patch you linked to and it should work for me then. I am using WPA enterprise.
Let's hope this will just work in 0.7.

Hi,
I tried to apply your patch but it failed. After I investigated it a little, I found out you are probably using a distro-specific source. Could you please try this against the current svn? I am using Ubuntu with network manager 0.6.4 and there the patch fails as well.

Hmm yes, my patch was against the F7 source, but I don't think the applet is significantly different to the standard 6.5 branch.

I know this problem wasn't there in 6.4, in fact it appears to have been introduced in this patch from Feb this year (which would imply that different WPA2 configurations need to be handled in different ways) - http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411039

So out of interest, what fields do you use in the configuration dialog? I am using "identity", "private key file," and "private key password".

Jon.

The config windows should look like this:

i.e. identity, password and CA Certificate File
