wpa_supplicant is used for all interaction with the wireless card and
driver. It's pretty pointless to have one path for WEP and unencrypted,
and one path for everything else.

This indicates a driver, configuration, or key problem. Can you post
some more logs? They are usually in /var/log/messages.
