I downloaded NetworkManager 0.6.5 (only nm, not the applet).
build it with --prefix=/opt --distro=redhat
then I did
servce NetworkManager stop
/opt/etc/rc.d/init.d/NetworkManager start
then I tryed to connect ...
same issue (keeps asking me for a password)
