Problems with Networkmanager + Madwifing

Hi

 I'm using Networkmanager 0.6.2 (Ubuntu Dapper Drake) with
madwifi-ng-r1696-20060730 (self compiled), kernel 2.6.17.4 and
wireless-tools-28.

My problems:
 1. Networkmanager doesn't always recognise when I insert the
wireless-pcmcia card, but I didn't figure out a system in this behaviour
yet. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

 2. (bigger) problem: Networkmanager isn't able to associate with the
wireless networks:

In the log from time to time the line

 ioctl[IEEE80211_IOCTL_SETMLME]: Argument list too long

appears.
