Wireless network won't activate on boot [solved]

Hi

I wrote to this list about the problem I had with NM not automatically
starting wireless on boot, but instead using a "fake" wired connection.
The problem was solved by upgrading to kernel 2.6.14. 

...which also made me test suspend2, which froze the computer and
screwed up my / and now I'm using ubuntu w/ NM 0.4.1 :-P
