Hi all!
I'm new to this list. I have to admit, that I normally don't use GNOME.
However, the dropbox-nautilus-plugin
(http://www.getdropbox.com/install?os=lnx) requires at least nautilus-2.16,
GTK 2.12, GLib 2.14 and libnotify-0.4.4. Unfortunatelly, Debian Etch doesn't
provide these. So I am trying to build them from sources (into /opt/dropbox,
as I wish to use them only for that plugin to work) and have got all but
nautilus.
What I got so far is: glib-2.18.2, pango-1.17.5, gtk+-2.12.12 and
libnotify-0.4.4.
nautilus complains it needs at least eel-2.15.91. And here is my problem.
When I try to build it, I get the following error:
---snip---
./.libs/libeel-2.so: undefined reference to `g_dgettext'
/opt/dropbox/lib/libgobject-2.0.so: undefined reference to `g_once_init_leave'

Until now I tried 2.15.91, 2.15.92 and 2.16.3, all with the same result.
I post here, as there is no eel-mailinglist, and my final goal is to get
nautilus to run.
Any suggestions what causes the error and how to get rid of it?
Or has anyone nautilus >=2.16 running on Etch?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Andreas
