Sorry to follow up twice.
I had an eye on the Nautilus extension doc.
The concept seems perfect to get things done when clicking in Nautilus.
But I still can't imagine how I could make Nautilus
set emblems when an external event happens 
(e/g. end of the flac/shn->ogg encoding of all files in a directory).
