No KDE got it wrong. Calling it ~/Desktop clashes with the Microsoft
environment. If one logs into a Samba sever that also severs UNIX style
accounts, MS Windows will populate the ~/Desktop directory with all
manor of junk. This is not fun, KDE is just plain wrong here.
Sounds like sharing your homedir r/w with Netatalk to a mac.. you get
all weird crap like "TheVolumeSettingsFolder/",
"TheFindByContentFolder/", "Temporary Items/" etc.. Netatalk itself
creates an .AppleDouble/ dir for the resource forks, but it is at least
a hidden "dotdir" :-)
It's all good otherwise though, but I just share ~/Mac/ because of those
strange folders :-)
