I don't know if Gnome 1.4 has much to do with this -- I get similar
symptoms running Ximian's Gnome 1.2 RPMs with Nautilus 1.0 and a recent
Evolution snapshot.  I think using oaf-slay works for me, though -- I'll
double-check tomorrow.
