I'm not sure about git.gnome.org username, I remember pushing changes to repository as krnowak svn gnome org
long time ago.
In the end, if I'm going to receive any username than krnowak is fine.
I'm involved in GNOME project probably when I started wrapping libvtemm, that is since sometime in 2008
(before libvtemm actually hit GNOME subversion repository).
