Hi Lennart,

Small caveat: I am no longer a part of the GNOME Membership and
Elections Committee and hence whatever I write would not be reflecting
on the committee's actions.

But I have done this work for a while and perhaps I can respond a bit
more personally from experience.

When processing the application via the RT for asking for additional
information it is an accepted practice to put the applicant in cc:
That action ensures that the feedback loop is closed and it becomes
sort of WAITING_ON_APPLICANT till further information is provided.

I do not recall anyone asking for directions on this but since a
simple "Please provide more information by replying to this mail.
Usually hitting Reply-To in most mail clients work" should be enough,
this could be added into the Form Letters / Templates used. Note to
myself: edit  l.g.o at the appropriate place.

Hubris is something that one would not perhaps associate with you,
however I am not well placed to respond to as to why or what kind of
information was required on your ticket / application. Perhaps now
that you have provided a list of folks who know you (it wasn't really
required you know :)) the ticket can be processed.

I don't think any more would be required. While I would not want to
make excuses of any kind but perhaps you would be aware that there is
a small situation with processing the access rights of the new
committee members themselves. That has lead to the unfortunate
situation of Bruno processing all of the workload. So I guess to err
is a bit human.
