Rahul Bhalerao is an active contributor to the Marathi Gnome Translation 
project. He has recently revived the project which was dormant for over 
2 years. Although considered as a contender for the position of 
co-ordinator for the language team he forfeited it to end a stalemate 
and to move the project ahead. Currently he is actively translating 
files in the developer-libs and desktop section with much enthusism and 
already has >5000 strings under his belt in a very short period of time.

Additionally he has been part of a team which has created a set of 
open-source fonts for marathi named "samyak".
