Detailed description:
I'm a member of the British English translation team and helped make British English a supported language in 
gnome 2.6.  As well as contributing translations for other packages.

I've also submitted a number of patches for the gweather gnome-applet.  A few of which (103080, 140675 & 
140964) have been accepted so far, while a few still haven't (50595, 97593, 133771 & 134018).
