That's a valid concern, but if taken too far one would eventually forgo
starting *any* new activity at all :-)

A reason I mentioned it is because this is exactly what has happened with web
forums in general, and in one particular area especially (FTA DVB satellite
receivers). Forums are relatively easy to create, far less easy to
competently sustain.
