display corrupted after use of internal editor or viewer

hi,

on some machines i experience display corruption when using mc's built-in
editor or viewer via ssh (using putty). looks like the screen is not
completely redrawn anymore, parts of the display are just black. i don't
think it's a putty configuration problem as everything works fine on some
machines but not on others. any ideas what might be the reason for this?
