color patch

Hi,

I just found a color-patch for file type extensions and I
wonder if this one should work with the code version 4.6.0?
For me, the compilation does not work.
Here is the message with the patch:

I tried to mail the author, but the given mail address is
old. Maybe, anybody of you use it and can give any hints!?
