BTW score on the SIGGRAPH one.  I ran into someone in the elevator at work wearing a GNOME t-shirt.  I had asked where he got it and he told me it was at SIGGRAPH, as they were giving it away for free.  But it's good to see that GNOME logo out there.  Usually I'm the one who wears one, so seeing someone wear it is a good thing.

Running a stand at a conference typically gets done by a group of people
who are planning on attending anyway. We have the problem in GNOME that
most of the people who travel to conferences do so for their employer,
not necessarily for themselves.

That said, we've had GNOME presence at SIGGRAPH and CSUN in recent years.
