Indeed, I'm aware that you are aiming at a stable release. But I'm
not aware of any concrete time frame (a week ? a month ?).
I think a month or so. Personally I want it for a stable Bakery 2
release which might happen approx. 1 month from now. But I also think it
would be nice to have these things in the 1.0 branch because that's what
a lot of people are going to use:
- Validation
- Attribute values that respect the DTD.
ok, then what about this:
let's continue developmental work on the main branch, always aiming more
on API consistency and completeness than new and independent features.
At the same time stabilize the 1_0 branch.
shortly before a potential release reconsider the state of the
developmental branch and see whether it has got sufficiently stable
and complete to justify a merge. Else release without it, and put that
new stuff into the next round (1.2).
As I'm obviously more interested into the devel (main) branch, I'd
suggest I write up a mail with suggestions on how to make the API
complete. That could be the basis of a discussion on how to work
towards that goal.
