I think a number of years ago I successfully used libsigc++-1.0 with
egcs, so if the OP is just looking for a signal/slot library that might
suit him (as might version 1.2). I have certainly used both libsigc
++-1.0 and 1.2 with gcc-2.95, which immediately succeeded egcs.
