Re: las-gnome LAS 2018 Planning & 3.26 Release Party in SF this weekend

I won't be able to make it at all. Some life events made this week particularly
challenging on my family, so I won't be able to take Saturday "off".

Hi All,

This weekend is the date we originally set aside to meet up to do more active
planning for LAS 2018 and also to hold our 3.26 Release Party.

Since Cosimo and I are leaving for an extended travel period for work the week
after, we would really appreciate having at least one weekend day to finish
packing. So, here's an updated proposal for what this weekend could look
like.

Please let me know what you think and if the schedule would work for you.
Thank you!!

Best,
Nuritzi

Meeting Logistics
When: Meeting: Saturday, Sept 30th from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Where: Endless Office: 575 Market Street, Suite 825
Notes:
@Sri and anyone else interested in helping us plan can dial in via google
hangout.

We can order in lunch at the office. After the meeting, we can head over to
the release party together.

@Link - I'm happy to carpool up if you'd like and am happy to drive!

Release Party Logistics
I propose we scale this down, especially since we just had a 20th birthday
party recently. Maybe we can do just a snacks and beer outing close by to
where we are meeting. Thoughts? Also happy to go to Golden Gate Park later in
the day, at 3:30 pm ish and keep the original corn hole + snacks + drinks
plan.
When: Saturday, Sept 30th from 3 pm - 5 pm
Where: Gott's Roadside at the Ferry Building for beers and snacks

Proposed Agenda for Meeting
Bids: Evaluate bid from Montreal and put together a new bid for SF.
Wiki page: Set up a wiki page for the new event
Attendees: Continue identifying targeted attendees, create a template email to
use for invitations
Prospectus: Collate sponsor material and give to new sponsorship committee
Website: see if we can implement the openSUSE one
GNOME Summit: Name the GNOME portion of the event
