Hi,
One format we have not done very much in past guadecs is the panel
discussion. Frankly I get a bit bored with so many talks; panel
discussions can liven things up. Last year's contributor agreement
panel was OK, but it was so tightly controlled it wasn't much fun.
I agree, but defer to the papers committee! Panel discussions are
generally a lot of fun (and sorry about the panel last year - the
panelists really painted me into a corner on that one in that we wound
up having to have statements at the beginning which seriously cut down
on time to let the conversation run)
For example:
GNOME and the Web
"GNOME OS"
Challenges in the next year
So, what do folks think about panel discussions?
These are great and timely topics. Another one might be on how to
foster community and bring in new people while keeping things efficient
for those already deeply involved.

Some of the accepted talks could be reworked into panel discussions,
if
we want to do this, and there is no room :)
