Hey,

I mostly agree with Quim - this is supposed to be a fun event for a 
relatively small group of people. Spending 1000 euro on it seems a 
little steep when it could be spent on buying something to put in 
everyone's conference bags or something.

Let's get some cheap different coloured tshirts, and get each player to 
chuck in 5 euro towards the cost - I don't think most people will mind 
that much.

From a budget point of view, it's always possible to put back some cash 
into the GNOME Foundation at the end of the conference. That money won't 
be wasted, but instead will be used to fund people traveling to other 
conferences, or providing printed materials at various events. I guess 
we just need to find the balance between careful spending and having fun.
