Re: gtkmm-list Digest, Vol 153, Issue 7 Gtkmm GUI fails to update

Hi D. B .

Is the Dispatcher constructed in the same thread that initialised GTK+
Yes dispatcher is constructed on the same thread where GTK+ is initialized    Each Window has its own Dispatcher connection i.e Window A has separate dispatcher and Window B has separate dispatcher .

does it handle all calls to GTK++/mm functions?

 Pls Clarify  ...

Thank You & Regards

Window A has button called Dialogwindow A which invoked a
Dialogwindow and shows .

Window B has separate Thread which will update the data which need be
be displayed on the windowB so here am
using Dispatcher for displaying

Is the Dispatcher constructed in the same thread that initialised GTK+, and
does it handle all calls to GTK++/mm functions? AFAIK these are absolutely
required, otherwise all bets are off, and sporadic updating sounds like a
relatively lucky outcome. :D

*** gtkmm

gtkmm 3.89 wraps GTK+ 3.89. It will become gtkmm 4.0,
wrapping GTK+ 4.0. It is a version of the gtkmm-4.0 API.
It installs in parallel with gtkmm-3.0.

gtkmm stays in-sync with gtk+ by (mostly) following the official GNOME
release schedule:
http://www.gnome.org/start/unstable/

http://www.gtkmm.org

*** Changes

3.89.3: (unstable)
Distro packagers should probably not package this
yet.
