Yes, but I have set up a cell_data_func and at this stage, rendering is
successful (see the reply I've just e-mailed Paul).

I was just
e-mailing Paul on his reply because though rendering is successful, all
my "objects" though they have "overridden" a virtual method I've
declared in my objects' base class to get the "name" of the object I'm
dealing with, still display the same "name" (which is the default value
returned from the base class's definition of the virtual method). Any
thoughts on this? Thanks.
