That could help. I don't have a better suggestion, I'm afraid.
I've aligned it to the left, but haven't yet come up with a better
title for "Other Resources" so I've left it as is for now. Is the
main menu more obvious now or do you think we need a different
approach?

I'm mostly concerned that the 2 sections have no clear separation other
than the separate paragraph blocks.
I've uploaded a new version with a different background color for the
sidebar menu. Let me know what you think (anybody may comment of
course, not just murray). I tried to keep it pretty subtle, but I
think it still works to differentiate the sections. There were a
couple other minor changes as well.

I've not addressed the PNG-with-alpha issue yet, so it will still look
like crap in IE, I'm afraid. I'll tackle that soon.
