I don't want to branch the codebase at this stage, because there is
still some major development work that I want todo that is applicable
to GTK2. Once GTK3 is actually released & gets real world usage then
we can consider putting the GTK2 support into bug-fix only mode &
having a branch for it. For now though, GTK2 is still the primary
target since that's what all production released applications will
be using for the forseeable future.
