Can anyone else test that the above code does or doesn't work on
their system? If it's just me I guess I won't worry about it too
much, although I'd like to know why.


I tried several files and I got "PDF document is damaged at
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.22.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Glib/Object/Introspection.pm
line 67."

For others I did get "Poppler::Document=HASH(0x9e8608) "  though


That helps, thanks. I tested 135 random PDFs and 8 worked, 127 failed. I now
have a path to investigate further.
