I'm pretty fuzzy on quite when the container should do that.  I know it
has to be after a size_request() call.  So the container is meant to
call size_request() to ask the children, then calls
get_child_requisition() so any set_size_request() on those children will
override, or something.  (When figuring out the aggregate size the
container itself wants to be.)
