about children access

Hello guys,
i have problems with accessing children of widgets. Ok you can use 
child_get and get_children but this is too obscure when you have more 
stuff packed inside a container.
I have:

HPaned->frames(2)->vbox(2)->scrolledwindow(2)->vbox(2)->table(2);

The numbers here are the number of the corresponding widgets.
All this structure is in page of Notebook.
Trying to access the tables is quite funny.

Is there other way to access children widgets?

I found something with set_name method but then it was very simple 
example with only one Vbox with one or two children inside of it.

Please help!
