I would like to have a table where only the first row is visible, with

How can I get these triangle images, as they are not in stock?
Gtk2::Expander?
Or would it be a better solution to use a real treeview? (But the
treeview
should look like normal labels - no borders, default background, no
selection,
etc.. is this possible?)
TreeView would most likely be better. If you really have to, you can
change the background color, turn off the hint that alternates row
colors, and disable selection. But why do you not want it to look
like a TreeView?

I hate to break it to you, but magic data pixies don't exist.
