Once i read your mail , i tried a 'man Gtk2::ToolItem' and it delivered
information . The documentation seems up to date , why the online one is
not ? It doesn't help :)

The manpages are always correct because they are built with the code you are
running on your own system.

The web pages are built on a single developer's PC and uploaded to the
website; they include whatever was in the version of gtk+ against which was
available at compile time.  In the case of the ones up there now, it was an
old gtk+, so lots of stuff is missing.  Also, the developer who did that for
us hasn't been able to do it since he moved across the country.

However, we're always open to contributers.  :-)
