I looked at that code. It is not related to databases, but looks like
a convenient thing to have from time to time. So it would be nice if you
released it.
I think it's not connected to the graphic part, so I'd suggest Glib::Ex
namespace, perhaps.
Oh, it would be nice to support tieing properties. Normaly each property
has a specialized getter and setter too, but it might come handy anyway
eg. when some run-time switching or something comes to play.
