they're gone in CVS, though you'll have to use 'cvs update -P' to prune the
empty directories.

As i want to package released versions, i can't use the cvs snapshot...

wolfgang sourdeau had claimed the conch for debian packages from james curbo
last month and asked me to remove the debian dirs then (which i did); are you
taking over for him?

I didn't knew about his plans. I've announced my work on
debian-devel lists debian org, he hasn't mailed me about that yet. No
idea what's happening there, but my packages are ready to go (in
fact, they are partly uploaded to the NEW queue and will be included in
the archive in the next days).
