Just a heads-up: this sounds like you want to do something
unadvisable.. it's likely better (read: will save you headaches
later) to supply the data you need to the signal callback (and by
extension, wherever else it might be passed on to) by some other
means.

If you tell us why you want to do this it's possible that a
better solution can be proposed.
