I hope as well, and the "final" decision from my side is not
taken yet (I will try to better understand gtk2, xs and existing
perl-gtk before).

My position is: because I will work full-time on it (because we
do need it to work in 1-3 months), I don't want to keep choices
made by another person with which I would not agree.

But of course, my views on Inline are probably partial, and on
the rest of your code as well.
