gtk 2.0 status

I put my working version up at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~nmueller .  It
doesn't build yet, so don't bother downloading it unless you plan on
helping out.  If you do want to help out, take a look at the ToDo list
or find your own bugs to work on -- I'm sure there's a few.  Either way,
please post what you're working on so other people don't spend time on
it too.
