Panel applets

Hello everybody!

First I want to apologize my bad englisch.
Perhaps, someone can help me with my problem.

I'd founed an example for a Perl Panel Applet at:

I want to compile the GTK 7008 module with Gnome Panel.
But it doesn't work.
Can' you tell me the steps to build this?
