It'd be interesting that all the people who port programs do add
things to this document, when they miss. Sending to this list
would be ok too.
Is there a similiar documentation for Gnome2-Perl?
At least, I don't know them.
We have a project (gmmusic: http://gmmusic.sf.net/) using Gtk-Perl with
Gnome extensions. Now we want to port the program and it's modules to
Gnome2. Is Gnome2-Perl usable at the moment?
Gnome2-Perl is really far from being finished. Nearly no modules have
been correctly tested. But there's enought to build programs. I do. But
don't consider it to be stable and complete.
Another question, perhaps off-topic:
Is there a program similiar to "gnome-config" in Gnome2 to find out the
installation paths of Gnome2. We used this for our configure-script.
Forget this question. I've found the porting documentation at
http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/porting/ . Gnome2 programs can now be
installed everywhere.
